On July 20, 2025, we celebrated Lane Charlotte’s very first birthday—a milestone we’ll always cherish. The theme? A charming (and slightly cheeky) “One Silly Gooses” fête, filled with soft pastels, playful touches, and just the right amount of fun.
From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted by a beautifully minimal welcome sign nestled in lavender—an inviting introduction to the thoughtful details woven throughout the day.
Lane’s favorite stuffed animals arrived dressed to impress, each wore tiny floral party hats and held their very own pastel balloons. These beloved friends made up the ultimate birthday guest table — complete with their own place settings and plenty of photo ops.

A Menu Full of Quacks...
The food was fun, punny, and toddler-approved. .
As a mama, I’ve learned that sometimes we just need a little help. For Lane’s party, I asked all immediate family (mostly grandparents) to each bring a dish — and it helped so much!
Labels were made in canva by me.

Lane’s cake was simple but sweet: vanilla with rainbow sprinkles, topped with a little goose figurine donning a bow. (She lunged for it before we could even light the candle — toddler approval secured. Seh loved her cake so much that she put her whole face in because - why not?
The Sweetest Souvenir: Adopt a Goose
Guests were invited to “Adopt a Goose”—each tucked lovingly into paper gift bags, ready for new homes. It was a thoughtful, take-home twist on traditional favors and a delightful nod to the gentle theme that floated throughout the party.
Paper lanterns and blooming hydrangeas created a soft, enchanted garden feel. We kept things relaxed and serene, letting the summer air and shaded backyard do most of the decorating.
It’s hard to believe our girl is already one. This celebration wasn’t just for Lane — it was a moment for us, too. A way to honor the wild, wonderful, life-changing year we’ve had as a family. And the best part? Watching Lane’s joy unfold as she soaked in every balloon, bite, and silly goose moment.
We’ll be cherishing these photos, and this feeling, for years to come. Happy birthday, Lane Charlotte. You are so very loved.
A Goose Cake cause, duh.

Life Size Flowers
These oversized paper poppies were made for my daughter’s first birthday and looked so fun and eye-catching next to the arches. The big white petals and bright yellow centers added the sweetest pop of color to the whole setup.
Handmade Cupcake Toppers
What’s a first birthday without a little DIY hustle right before the party? These playful cupcake toppers feature our favorite black-and-white baby photos of Lane, each adorned with a colorful paper party hat and mounted on a toothpick. They added both sweetness and humor to the table décor.
