Exciting News: We're thrilled to share that we're now opening a store! It's a delightful surprise that caught us off guard, but we're embracing it with enthusiasm.

As a newcomer to the interior design world, my days are pretty dynamic and VARIABLE TO SAY THE LEAST. A TYPICAL DAY INVOLVES HANDLING administrative tasks, divING into the design landscape, getTING familiar with various design platforms, dealING WITH FINANCIAL REPORTS, and always havING an eye out for potential clients. Right now, I'm deep into the "behind-the-scenes" work, WHICH feels like a constant cycle no matter how much time I invest. But you know what? I'm loving the journey. This phase is all about growth – learning, making mistakes, EMBRACING ups and downs – it's a mix of everything.

When I mapped out my 5-year plan, the first year was all about embracing this transitional phase. Figuring out my style, connecting with clients who share my design values, and most importantly, giving myself time to learn and adapt. The next couple of years were focused on expansion. I imagined bringing in help for tasks like accounting and addressing MY PAIN POINTS, saying no to clients who don't align with my vision, and maybe even opening a store. Then, in years four and five – that's when the real excitement WOULD kicK in. The plan was to grow the team AND BROADEN OUR reach IN THE COMMUNITY. I envisioned the store evolving, maybe even moving into a larger space filled tothe brim with sustainable furniture and accessories, while continuing to offer on-site design services. It was a well-thought-out plan, or so I thought.

But life has its own way of surprising us. i notice Whenever I dive into something, my planned "timeline" often shifts. Maybe it's because I become more open to new opportunities, and sometimes, things work out even better than expected through these unconscious manifestations.

Imagine this: It's a sunny day, and I decide to take a different route during my walk. There's a cozy spot a few blocks away that serves the most amazing iced oat milk latte – a little treat to brighten the day. Little did I know, this simple stroll would turn into a business opportunity. As I sipped my latte and strolled, I noticed a sign on a door a few shops down. It read "we're moving!" The space was empty, and something clicked. It was right nearby, a snug space that seemed full of potential. how could I not inquire?

That casual walk turned into a full-blown mission. I reached out to everyone I knew, searched online, and even did some detective work to find the owner's contact info. Let's just say, my ig digging skills finally proved beneficial.

A chat with the store next door gave me the lead I needed – the landlord's name and a connection to the salon next door. A quick call, and before I knew it, I had a tour lined up.

Stepping into that space, it hit me – this was exactly what I needed at this point in my career, a stepping stone toward that three-year vision I had in mind. And guess what? The rent was surprisingly reasonable. I was so excited that I blurted out, "I want it!" But, well, things aren't always that straightforward.

Turns out, there were five other contenders, one of them offering double the rent and two years upfront. A bidding war wasn't realistic for me, so I thought my chances were slim.

But then things took a positive turn – after some heartfelt talks with the landlord about why we were the best fit, he revealed something important. It wasn't all about money for him; he wanted the right tenant to fit in with the neighborhood and add a positive and refreshing vibe. What a relief!

After a suspenseful weekend, we got the news we were hoping for – we were chosen. Two days later, the lease was signed, and we had the keys in hand.

I felt so fortunate that our landlord wasn't just after money, proving my initial assumption wrong. It's a reminder that there are people out there willing to trade some profit for the happiness and opportunities of others.

Below is a sneak peek at what's coming – a variety of sustainable goods in the retail section, and as for my office? It's all about creating an atmosphere that reflects our minimalist style. Everything will be thoughtfully selected and sustainably sourced with the store inventory changing with the seasons.

A surprise not even we could have anticipated...
